International Championship: Ding Junhui beats Judd Trump to reach final


Ding is looking to win the International Championship for the second time

Ding Junhui has beaten Judd Trump to reach the final of the International Championship in China.

China’s Ding raced into a 6-0 lead against Trump, before the Englishman kept his hopes alive with the final two frames of the afternoon session.

Trump closed the gap to 7-4, but the world number six made a clearance of 134 as he went on to win 9-4.

Ding, the 2013 champion, will play the winner of today’s second semi-final between Mark Selby and Stuart Bingham.
