The Las Vegas expansion team will unveil its nickname, logo and team colors on Nov. 22.
Attending the event will be Las Vegas team owner Bill Foley, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and Las Vegas team general manager George McPhee. The announcement will take place in the plaza outside T-Mobile Arena, the home of the NHL’s newest franchise.
Foley told ESPN’s Scott Burnside in October that the expansion team would be called “something Knights” and that the team colors would include steel gray.
“Because it’s Knights, there’s obviously going to be some steel gray somewhere,” Foley said. “Probably have some gold because that makes sense, and most teams have black.”
The Las Vegas franchise will take part in the June 2017 draft and begin play in the 2017-18 season. The team will be based in the Western Conference.
