Jeremy Maclin expected to make decision Monday

The Jeremy Maclin sweepstakes is nearing its end.

The Pro Bowl wide receiver is expected to decide between the Ravens and Bills on Monday, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. The 29-year-old was a surprise cut by the Kansas City Chiefs at the beginning of the month.

As Rapoport previously mentioned, Maclin enjoyed both of his visits. Both teams are desperate for wide receiver help, though Baltimore likely has a slight system advantage thanks to the presence of former Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg. Mornhinweg coached Maclin between 2009 and 2012. The Bills‘ advantage may be the passionate lobbying of former Maclin teammate LeSean McCoy, who is itching for more stars to join the fold in Orchard Park.

Whichever team he chooses, the decision will also shake loose teams interested in potentially trading for soon-to-be-discarded Jets wide receiver Eric Decker. With mandatory minicamps rolling out this week, teams are hoping to have their new free agency prizes in the facility with a playbook before the break. Maclin caught 44 passes for 536 yards and two touchdowns last season after 87 catches for 1,088 yards and eight touchdowns in 2015.
