According to the police report, an officer conducted a traffic stop on Burns, who was driving an SUV with a suspended Florida license plate tag. Burns was unable to produce a driver’s license to the officer, who later determined Burns had his license suspended.
He was arrested without incident and his vehicle was impounded, the report stated. He was later released from custody, according to Miami-Dade County Corrections records.
The Steelers declined to comment on Burns’ arrest.
Selected No. 25 overall in the 2016 NFL Draft, the University of Miami product had three interceptions and 65 tackles as a rookie.
