North Carolina and Gonzaga alums in the NBA react to national title game

North Carolina cut down the nets Monday night, outlasting Gonzaga 71-65 in Phoenix. The game came down to the wire, but not everyone was happy with the officiating.

Notable UNC alums from around the NBA, however, were ecstatic about the win.

Even a pair of Duke alums weighed in.

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Miles Simon didn’t like the officiating either.

And Gonzaga alums were rightfully proud of the Bulldogs’ effort.

North Carolina goes from heartbreak to redemption, bouncing back from its buzzer-beating 77-74 loss to Villanova a year ago in the championship game. The Tar Heels are national champions for the sixth time in school history.
