There’s a new leader among NBA teams in new season-ticket sales sold for next season: the Milwaukee Bucks.

Sources confirmed that no other NBA team has sold more than the 2,200 new full season-ticket packages the Bucks sold for next season, their first in the $524 million Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center.

“We’ve had great support from the city and there’s so much excitement around the new arena, having a new coach and of course, the Giannis effect,” said Jamie Morningstar, the team’s senior vice president of ticket sales and service.

Morningstar said that total season tickets sold as of Monday was 8,400 and that the team is on pace to sell 10,000 season tickets for the first time in team history. Season-ticket prices range from $20 per game to $2,000 for on-the-wood for courtside seats, which come with access to all-inclusive clubs.

As of Friday, the team has sold out all 67 suites and lofts. Those contracts range from three- to 12-year commitments and include every event in the venue.

The Bucks’ owners, under a company named Deer District LLC, control the 30-acre development around the new arena, most of which has been developed.

Regular-season attendance in Milwaukee jumped by 5.7 percent this past season, in which the team made a second straight playoff appearance. Power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, dubbed “The Greek Freak,” had another stellar season, and evidence of his national star power came as he finished the regular season with the fourth-best-selling jersey in the NBA.
